    Thank you for choosing Beyond Beef’s e-commerce platform, your gateway to a certified, healthy, hormone- and antibiotic-free eating experience.

      1. The Beyond Beef plant complies and holds a R638 certificate, as required for any food-handling premises. This certification ensures food safety across the entire supply chain, from preparation through to transportation. (Certificate number: R6/COA/286-10/24)
      2. In line with the requirements of our retail partners(PnP, Checkers, Spar, Foodlovers), the Beyond Beef packing plant has also obtained a Food Safety Assessment (FSA) certificate, independently conducted by Intertek. This certification enables us to distribute products nationally through there distribution centres.(Certificate number: ACTY-2024-264865)
      3. Our ZA certificate confirms that Beyond Beef is registered with the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) and is approved for export. This certificate plays a vital role in the export process, ensuring our products meet both South African and international standards. (ZA certificate number: ZA 524)
      4. Each carcass is DNA-sampled and independently verified to match one of our full-blood Wagyu sires, and is registered with CWB (Certified Wagyu Beef). (Certificate number: CF6-0651985)
      5. Carcass grading is carried out by CWB, the independent authority responsible for Wagyu beef quality assessment in South Africa. This process involves capturing a digital image of every carcass, which is then uploaded to Master Beef, an Australian grading software platform, for final objective evaluation. This determines the independent marble score assigned to each carcass. (Certificate number:  CF1-0651985)
    2. We take great care and pride in ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations and in consistently delivering a safe, high-quality product to our customers. This is why we confidently state that our product upholds absolute integrity.
    3. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms and Conditions (T&Cs), unfortunately, you may not use our website. Should you proceed regardless, we cannot be held liable.
    4. This website is operated solely by Beyond Beef. By accessing and using our site, you agree to be bound by the following T&Cs, along with any additional terms accessible via the provided hyperlinks. Please read them carefully.
    5. These terms apply to all users of the site, including but not limited to browsers, vendors, and customers.
  2. Products and Services
    1. We specialise in providing healthy, hormone-free meat products. All our meat is handled and packed fresh. However, once dry ice is added and the polystyrene container is sealed, your product will automatically freeze. Based on our internal trials, the dry ice keeps the product frozen for up to 72 hours and then begins to thaw gradually over the next 48 hours. We have included a 30% buffer in our process to ensure that your order reaches you in optimal condition every time.
    2. We recommend that you place your order directly into a deep freezer upon receipt, unless you intend to prepare it the same day. Notwithstanding the above, any complaints must be reported within 24 hours of receiving your product. Claims submitted after this period will not be considered, as we cannot take responsibility for any storage or handling once the product has been delivered.
    3. Although supplying this product is our core business, we endeavour to keep all items listed on our website in stock. Some products are subject to purchase limits per item to help manage demand and ensure wider availability. Availability is dependent on weekly supply and demand, and we therefore cannot guarantee stock at all times.
    4. All our products are cut to order with care and precision. While we make every effort to match the specified weight on the website, please note that due to the nature of hand-cutting and the variability of meat, a weight variation of up to 5% above or below the listed weight may occur.
    5. We reserve the right to update or amend any product description, image, or information at any time. We may discontinue or introduce products at our discretion. Every effort has been made to ensure the images on our website reflect the appearance of the product you will receive. All images are taken of fresh products, which may look different once frozen. As such, we cannot accept responsibility for any variation in appearance or for how your device displays colour.
    6. As part of our commitment to customer service, we offer a personalised door-to-door delivery service. All Terms and Conditions related to this service are outlined in Section 5 (Delivery and Shipping). While we cannot guarantee every detail, we are fully committed to meeting your expectations with regard to the product information, delivery, and overall service experience.
  3. Payment, Ordering and Account Information
    1. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. We reserve the right to add or remove discounts and special offers at any time and to discontinue any promotion at our discretion. Any applicable taxes and fees will be included at checkout. Delivery fees are calculated based on your location and are reflected in the final checkout amount.
    2. After careful consideration, we have partnered with Yoco to manage our payment processing. Yoco provides a range of payment methods to accommodate our customers, including credit/debit cards, Instant EFT, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Masterpass, and international AMEX. We adhere to all the terms and conditions set out by Yoco on their official website. By placing an order through our website, you also agree to comply with Yoco’s terms and conditions, which can be accessed via this link. You further consent to Yoco accessing the personal information you have shared on our website. We do not accept any responsibility for any transactional problems.
    3. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all orders placed through our store. You are responsible for keeping your account details up to date, including your email address and payment information, to ensure we can complete transactions and contact you if necessary.
    4. In the event of a change to or cancellation of your order, we will make every reasonable effort to contact you using the email address, billing address and/or phone number provided at the time of purchase.
    5. By ticking the consent box at checkout or registration, you agree that we may use your personal information to contact you regarding your order, provide customer support, or send you promotional material and updates about our products and services.
  4. Privacy Policy and Data Protection

  5. Shipping and Delivery
    1. As outlined in Section 2, we have developed our delivery process and packaging to ensure that your product arrives in perfect condition every time. We have entered into a contractual agreement with The Courier Guy South Africa to handle our delivery services. By placing an order through Beyond Beef’s e-commerce platform, you agree to comply with all terms and conditions set out by The Courier Guy South Africa. These terms and conditions can be accessed via the following link. You also consent to The Courier Guy South Africa accessing the personal information you provided on our website for the purposes of fulfilling your delivery.
    2. Please note, we accept no responsibility for delivery delays caused by external factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, political unrest, or courier-related issues.
  6. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds
    1. As we specialise in fresh meat products, we operate on a cut-to-order basis. This means your specific items are freshly prepared upon order, and for this reason, cancellations are not permitted.
    2. Refunds and/or compensation will only be considered under very specific conditions. As previously stated, any complaints must be reported within 24 hours of receiving your product. Claims submitted outside this 24-hour window will not be accepted, as we are unable to control the handling or condition of the product once it has been delivered. Upon receipt of a valid complaint, a detailed investigation will be conducted before any refund is granted. Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any issue arising from circumstances beyond our control.
    3. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns under any circumstances.
  7. Intellectual Property
    1. All content on this website—including, but not limited to, the brand name, logo, product descriptions, images, design elements, and written materials—is the intellectual property of Beyond Beef and is protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and common use intellectual property laws.
    2. Any unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of this content is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from Beyond Beef. Misuse of our intellectual property may result in legal action to protect our brand, content, and associated rights.
  8. Liability and Disclaimers
    1. While we take full responsibility for the integrity of our products, as outlined in Section 1 (Overview) of these Terms and Conditions, customers are responsible for the proper handling, storage, and preparation of meat products following delivery, as detailed in Section 2 (Products and Services).
    2. Accordingly, and given that all ingredients are clearly listed on the product labels, we accept no liability for any allergic reactions or health issues arising from the consumption of our products.
  9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
    1. We reserve the right to update, modify, or replace any of these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice to customers, browsers, or vendors. Your continued use of the website and services following any such changes will constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
